They always say, 3rd time is a charm. The RoC event that was originally scheduled for August 19, rescheduled for September 30. Mother Nature not being kind to MVS, both days were cancelled due to rain. With fingers crossed and hopes for no rain, the event has been scheduled to take place Oct 21. A 100 lap combined North/Central race will be on hand to determine who will be the 2006 combined points champion. 9 points separate Earl Paules and 'Pistol' Pete Brittain. This will also be MVS's final race of the year. In the event it rains...snows...or any other weather event that would prevent racing to take place, a rain date has been set aside for October 28.

Time Trials begin at 2pm

Admission
*Pit Admission - $35.00 members, $45.00 non-members
*Grandstand Admission - $22.00 Adults, $7.00 Children 6-11 years old, under 6 is free

We were told, Saturday at the drivers meeting, that Oct 21st will be the final race of the season and Oct 28th is no longer a "rain date". So if it rains on the 21st, then this weekend will be the final points race. As for the Modifieds, this weekend will be the deciding factor for points because the ROC is in town on the 21st and every Mod driver gets 100 points for showing up, like Mountain did this last weekend at KOTM.

Duane,

Is it working only that way for Mods, or for other divisions? 100 just to show on October 21st?

Just the Mods because of the RoC. The other divisions are not affected. They are anticipating somewhere near 50 Mods to be on hand. A final MVS points race would be a serious bummer if the the guy in 1st place didn't make it into the show, costing him the championship.
