Did anybody see News 12 this morning? It showed STEVE LEVY talking about the affordable housing slated for the Yaphank site, and who would first qualify for them.

So if our volunteers all take advantage of this, will there be enough volunteers left living in our communities to staff the ambulances and firetrucks NOT in the Yaphank district? Pretty hard to respond to a fire call in Orient or Deer Park if you live in Yaphank. Hmmm... :confused:

What is amazing is that the RFP is not even out yet and Levy is already selling off housing.
Well from going to the committee meetings I had heard them throw this idea around, along with the housing being offered to Nurse's, Dowling Professors, Northrop-Grumman engineers...so much for Keeping our youth on LI.
