And how can we forget the 311 fig-8 of Joe Larsen.
AHHHH, Those special hamburgers....

Gravel, I don't doubt your info, but I have a program ( and scanned the page) that says he registered with that number. It's too big to attach here, but I'd be happy to send you a copy.

Gravel
01-10-2007, 07:34 PM
He might have registered the # but he never had a car at Freeport with that #. I crewed for him from 74-79. The last car he had at Freeport was a black Camaro #'ed 666. What year is your program?

W. J.
01-10-2007, 07:40 PM
1977 (Freeport Speedway Scene-Vol. 2 No. 17, page 13)

I've reduced the scan to fit our attachment limitations. Here it is.

Ahh, Gravel, I guess you got the one I was thinking of...I did remember hearing about a "team car" to 310fig8, way back in the "special hamburger" days (think that was probably before I was even born, right chief?...ha ha)...

WJ, that's cheating, using a program while the rest of us are using what's left of our memory. But you are correct.

W. J.
01-11-2007, 09:38 AM
It's not cheating, Gravel, it's called "Documented Nostalgia". LOL!

If you're gonna write, like I do, you better have facts at hand, not stored away in the "Gray Matter Vault", the storage is just too unreliable.
