I have a question for everyone. If we made up LongIslandJam.com t-shirts, something unique and professional (sort of like track shirts), would you be interested in purchasing them? Be honest, you won't hurt our feelings. Please vote on this poll thanks!

Oh Yeah, I want to see Larry in a HOT PINK shirt. LOL. That could end up being the highlight of the season. Send us your check and size, Larry, and we'll have it ready when you are!!!

I'm thinking about a type of shirt not sure what they are called, those collared shirts with the three buttons and short sleeves, something like that. Are they expensive? I've got 50 t shirts from various places and suppliers, just looking for something that stands out a bit. When I was drag racing, we had em' and they looked sharp. Or am I headed in the wrong direction here??

I believe that's called a polo shirt and we may do that for LIJam personnel...

Last I heard from the boss, LIJam staff are getting collared, buttoning, pit-crew type shirts made by ASI.

can we get baby tees for the cuties in the stands?

How about LIJam patches? I noticed during the last race of the year at Homestead they had some nifty button down shirts and the Speed patch. Some shirts were different from the others, so I guess Speed personnel sewed them on lol.

Peter, I am NOT wearing a Baby Tee for you, I don't care how much you beg. :)

We're trying to start out simple, but do it extraordinary. We're going to make a kick @$$ t-shirt with a great design, good saying and something people will be proud to wear, if they want it.

That's the choice LOL Yes I know, I'm very democratic.

I know it could be dangerous, but maybe a contest for the saying? (Free shirt to the winner?)

I like contests. That could work. We'll see the results of this survey to see if we'll pursue the shirt idea.

I was wondering if you guys had someone to design the shirts? If you're looking, my girlfriend Ellen does graphic; design let us know!!

Hi Turn1,

We'll keep that in mind for any graphic design projects we have. However, as of now for t-shirts, we're committed to our sponsor ASI.

Will there be any shirts made before speedweeks; I mean advertisement week in Fla.

Advertisement week? My vision is usually a little to blurry to take part in that.

If we do the t-shirts, it will be ready for opening day at Riverhead. I'm just trying to get a feel if people are interested and will it be worth it. For our first t-shirt run, interest was not great, although I admit our design was very plain. I want to take it a step up, but I want to see if it's worth the effort.

Oh, so this one will have YOUR PICTURE on it, LOL? I get it now.

No my picture is found in enough places - post offices, milk cartons, and the occasional flash cartoon on the Jam. :-B

I think a pic of you holding a bag of belly bombs would be quite appropriate

Art, I'm with you. I have boxes of t-shirts that I never wear. Now a collared golf shirt would be nice. You could wear it anyplace.

I am sure gene at ASI could do something nice. (W.J. it's not a plug for ASI, just a fact).

LOL! That's where our new staff shirts are coming from, and they are one of our advertisers. (See the main page under "Last Race Results & More!)
