The tornados that hit the New Smyrna area

Last night bad tornados ripped through the Deland and New Smyrna area. Here near Orlando we only had severe thunderstorms during the night. I didn't talk to anyone at New Smyrna Speedway, but have talked to someone who has. The track manager reports that they have little damage and are ready to go racing next week. That is good news. Our prayers go out to the people who had to go through it and have lost everything.

They are saying on the news that I-4 is closed from I-95 (Daytona) to Route 44 (the exit for New Smyrna).

I believe 14 people have perished in those tornadoes. RIP.

Howie and Mary..so glad to hear you two are ok. I have Sirius online and have been listening to CNN while I am at work. How horrible the stories and the destruction that has occured. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone down there.
