Who do you guys think will win the 07 championship? As most everybody knows, I'm a big TC fan, so I would love to see him get a championship, but like another of my all time favorites the Reg. wins a lot of races, but could not win the championship. Also, Eric Beers could be tough with Big Kevin Crowley turning the wrenches.

I am hoping John Blewett III can do some thing this year... I am one of his biggest fans... he said that he was probably going to run the tour full time, and Wall Speedway whenever he can!

If 28 King Racing Team can find a new crew chief to replace the departed Jay Barker, they can win it all.

Ok, I am a big Steffy fan, I love watching him run and win races and win championships. That said, I am also a JBIII fan. John has worked hard, won races and maybe, just maybe, '07 is his year. Love him or not, John is a great racer!!

John BlewettIII hands down in 07 a threat to win at all times

I think John Boy is a great race car driver, just not the type to win a championship, aggresive driving style which is what racing needs more of , which was the beauty of Mr. Excitment winning the championship a hard nose racer. Can you imagine TC & John Boy battling it out for the championship that would be cool as sh** watching the two of them with a race or two left to determine the champion.

It'd be pretty anti-climactic, I think. You'd just see more repeats of what happened at Thompson.

Matt Hirchman if he races the whole year, if not his father Tony!!!

How about Todd? ANd no love for Flemke whose been in the top 10 for awhile!

I am picking that Lirpasti fellow.

I gotta go with Matt Hirshman also. Last year he really showed what he can
do. JBIII is of course a threat as he can win anywhere. TC has not showed the patients to win a season long battle but can win any race he is in. Donny
Lia is also a outside favorite if he doesn't go crazy out there. Should be a good year I think.

I am picking that Lirpasti fellow.

Lirpasti isn't running for points. he's picking and choosing events in 2007.

Nice Avatar by the way.

According to Speed51 on JB3 it may not be so cut and dry.... Full article is at: http://www.51sportsracing.com/2007_stories/Mods_WMT/WMT_Notes_3_9_07.html

WHICH POINTS WILL JBIII CHASE?

Last season, John Blewett, III won the track championship at Wall Township Speedway (NJ) and also was a major threat on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, winning three races in a
limited schedule of only 11 events. This year, he should be hard to beat wherever he races primarily, but where will that be?

Well, at this point, Blewett isn’t even sure yet.

“I’m going to concentrate on one thing this year, but I just don’t know what it is yet,” said Blewett. “Whether I’ll run the for the Weekly Racing Series or the Tour, I don’t know. We’ll get about four races in and see how things are going before we decide.”

III has said he planned running the whole tour but then he wouldn't show up and then you'd heard that he raced at Wall that night. Jimmy going to be tough this year if he keeps his temper down like it runs in the family. Which isn't a knock on them, I always enjoyed their racing, they are a very agressive family on the track. I do enjoy watching them race! Go Showtime!

Thanks Alex...I guess I should expect that each year from that team. Can't argue with goin' where the chance of a good payday can be found. The Blewett team is kinda 'Old School' that way - and that's a good thing! Adds a nice element to the Modified battlefield. His father was no stranger to running the old long and brutal Nascar Modified point series, running weelky at non-Nascar Santioned Wall Stadium one year, Islip the next (I know...Wall was not always an option!) etc.

ok.. here is a side line off this topic...... if you went to Thompson, to your FIRST WMT race..... and you were in the driver autograph session before the race........ what ONE driver would be the best one to get an autograph and meet? Remember, you are going in to your FIRST race, don't have any pre-notions about anyone..... who???
