View Full Version : Danny Loescher Passes Away

Just received word from Bob Finan:

Danny Loescher, long time member of Bob Park's #19 NASCAR Modified team passed away this morning Tuesday March 13th from lung cancer at 49 years-old, just three days shy of his 50th birthday which would have been Friday March 16th. Danny is the brother of long time Bob Park crew chief Buddy Loescher.

Viewing will take place this Thursday March 15th from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again Friday the 16th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm at McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home on Marcy Avenue in Riverhead. Burial will be Saturday March 17th.

My condolences to the Loescher family. That was one of the most hard working and innovative crews around, able to do much with little, and a credit to themselves every race. May Danny rest in peace, and his family be comforted by fine memories.

Our prayers and support go out to the Loescher family in this time of great sorrow. You will be missed greatly!!!! Dan you were a great guy we will miss the Saturday afternoon gossip sessions standing in the pit stands. You were such a great guy. We lost a good one today..........Isn't that always the way.... RIP Danny, for you, the pain is over!!!
