Shawn was DQed for having an aluminum pully on his motor, something the team discovered too late to change before they went out to race.

Does anyone know what the others were DQ'd for?

We are hearing it had to do with ride height in all 3 cases.

The others were dq'd for being too low, also. It's a shame that 3 cars were dq'd out of top 5 for the same violation. I don't know how much lower the other cars were, but we under by about 1/8th of an inch. It's pure b.s....when we got home, our l/f tire was basically flat. And since when do we measure ride height AFTER a race. Basically a big joke of a track and a promoter that acts like your best friend, and can't look Rob in the face after the decision. And as for Pappy, so much for working with us after the race like you said you would.

1/8th inch? Is this measured under the frame or from the lowers peice of metal?

Yeah, but if you were low due to a tire and it was allowed to stand, that opens the door for some shady actions. For instance-- If a car was close to being too low and finished in the top 5, who's to say that the driver would pull the valve stem out or deliberately flatten the tire to avoid that tech area?

Rules are rules....it either meets the rules, or it dosen't.

 All I want to say is every one that was at Mountain Speedway will be able to tell anyone that I took the race fair and ran a clean race. My truck met evey rule and I never heard of checking a ride height after a race. I never saw it happen in a weekly divison. This is probably is a waste of time for me to type this, but this took me out of the championship. 1/8th of an inch did not win me that race.

PS: There was never a problem when a 6 cyl front wheel drive car put it on the 8 cyl cars.
