The DeLange Racing team has been hard at work since the culmination of last season preparing three racecars for the 2007 campaign. The team drivers, young Bobby Holmes of Lockport and teenage sensation Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, are eager to go racing. With the new season just around the corner, DeLange Racing owner Dave DeLange has released a tentative racing schedule of approximately 50 dates for the coming year.

Holmes will once again drive the #22 Original Pizza Logs Modified in what we feel will be his breakout season in the Modified division. The original #22 Modified was destroyed in the final race at New Smyrna Speedway in February. Since mid-March the crew, led by crew chief Joe Mihalics and including crewmen Jason Kerrison and Joel Bezek along with Holmes, have been putting forth a yeoman effort in preparing a brand new racecar under the guidance of DeLange Team Manager Jim Rudolph. A 2007 Troyer chassis was purchased and is near completion. The motor is in transit from the Connecticut shop of engine builder Bob Bruneau. DeLange Racing also recognizes the efforts of Billy Colton and Bob Mueller of Troyer Race Cars in making the new #22 Modified a reality.

The #22 team will be running a 14-race schedule, focused on the full five-event listing on the Race of Champions Modified Tour North Region calendar along with two RoC Tour Central Region races and three RoC Tour Combination races. Tracks the #22 team will visit include Oswego Speedway, Lancaster Raceway Park , Wyoming County International Speedway and Chemung Speedrome. Holmes and crew will also run the four track Modified events scheduled at Lancaster in 2007.

The DeLange team welcomes a new associate sponsor for the #22 Modified; Dool’s Third Base, a Lockport tavern, located at 392 Ohio Street . We urge all of our loyal fans and fellow competitors to support our newest sponsor. Look for Holmes and the #22 Modified to make an appearance in a special racing event at Dool’s Third Base this summer on a date yet to be announced.

Rudolph will be making his Modified debut in 2007, driving the #45 Original Pizza Logs Modified. The racecar is ready to go after the crew has dedicated countless hours during the off-season preparing the car. Headed by Jim and Charlie Rudolph, the hard-working crew also includes Chris Murphy, Dan Tice, Dennis Universal and Joe Zahno. The #45 Modified will run the same 14-race schedule as the #22 Modified, beginning on May 6 at Lancaster .

Rudolph will also be driving the #12 Original Pizza Logs/PrimeTyme Motorsports/Brigham Concrete SST Sportsman again this season. An expanded schedule for the upcoming year is planned, including appearances at Wyoming County , Lancaster , Oswego , Chemung, Spencer Speedway and Holland International Speedway. In all, more than 35 events are on the calendar as Rudolph ascends the next rung on the ladder for this extremely talented and focused young racer.

DeLange Racing wishes to give special recognition to a valued group of loyal team supporters: Bob Cordova of Original Pizza Logs will sponsor all three racecars; Tom Snyder of PrimeTyme Motorsports and Tom Brigham of Brigham Concrete will sponsor the #12 SST Sportsman; ASI Racewear will sponsor both Modifieds; Castle Products and COMP Cams will sponsor the #45 Modified and the #12 SST Sportsman. Your support is deeply appreciated.

After a long winter, spring is finally here and it is time to go racing. We look forward to seeing our many devoted fans and supporters at the tracks. Let’s go racing!
