Regardless of which track, racers race where they chose to. Isn't America a great place???

After a few weeks of not making the show at one track, some may go to a different track, which will benefit all involved, don't you think???

You know what I think? I think, some people on this forum will defend MS no matter what. if only 3 cars showed up, they'd have a reason why.

I get the feel like....post whatever You want on here, but dont bring up anything negative! We dont like to talk about that stuff.

As for the OTHER TRACK.....MS always played 2nd fiddle to them, Anyone who's been down there on a Sat. night (and couldnt find a seat) knows this.
Same goes for Big Diamond, I know they're not a competitor of MS, But the pits and stands are full to the maxxx every week! The point I'm tryin to make is, You can't say there aren't race fans in this area, they're out there. Just not at MS.

If You want to bash me now for saying this, that's fine... Just let Me know the last time there was no room to sit in the stands, and mods had to pit on the back rd. because there was no room for them all???

Last time I was at Mahoning (last year) the stands were only half full

My opinion is that it’s just hit & miss regardless of almost any track. Many drivers like to run all over at different tracks. A good example is the inaugural Big Dog 100 (2005). All the advertising & hoopla, yet I believe only 24 cars were there. Not long after there were close to 30 for half the purse.

As far as the stands are concerned- it’s hard to get folks these days to come see stock car racing, period. The whole idea is that once a fan comes to a race, treat them well (great food, prizes, chance to meet drivers, etc....make them feel at home) and let the drivers put on one hell of a show for them. That’s what makes them want to come back.

Like I was telling Chuck via a PM, one of the biggest reasons for the larger field at MVS has much to do with the Super 7 series. Out of the past 4 races, 2 of them were 100 lap, $3000 to win events. Common sense indicates that the cars go where the money is. Their events are out there...being promoted heavily. MVS had some drivers move up to the Modifieds. The other divisions are hurting for cars. SS have a solid field that is slowing diminishing, while the LM's, FS are falling fast. This isn't just happening there, its happening at Mountain as well. Some of the drivers rotate back and forth between the tracks, but as in many arguments in the past, you can offer the mood, the sun, and the stars, it is a given many drivers stay at their home track...end of story.

Does Mountain get the 2nd seat to MVS? Nah. I personally don't get there much during the season because I have a very young child. I get one day to get out and my priority is doing my duties for Pocono Thunder, which require me to be at MVS. Mountain has the potential to do big things..it is just in the eye of the holder to make it happen...ahhh if hell and heaven were the clash...Mountain and MVS would come up with equal rules and regulations...
