At least one of the slower cars put 3 tires on this week to be a rolling roadblock instead of a hazard. but the end result was the same:( not only almost wrecking the leader after spinning out but running others up the track when lapped which isnt a good thing to do.

The starting posititions are based on a handicapping system, not the idea of starting slower cars up front. There is also a rule at Riverhead that feature winners will not be slated to start in the top 4 posititions. With so many different feature winners running each week, it makes it kind of tough, wouldn't you think?

No not really. There's only been 3 races run, so I don't think it would be that hard. There's been plenty of people who had to start in the rear because they're too slow.

If drivers feel that a racer may be too slow to start up front, bring it up with the co-stewards. I'm sure they are willing to listen (note, I say listen, and not actually do, as the decision ultimately is with them). Worth a shot.

Another shot may be to go and help the guy, but that's another approach.

Just throwing out some options.
