12 cars for a 50 lap race???? What happened to all the guys coming out this year? A bunch of you have registered your numbers for....... what?
I can understand not running the whole year because of money, but to miss a 50 lapper? The part timers used to live for a 50 lapper because with TT's at least you had a chance to start up front.
Well all I can say if some of you don't come out soon, you might not have a division to run in at Riverhead in the future. Not counting the guys who ran last year and didn't re-register your numbers , there are 9 of you who did, who are missing in action.
Get them off the jack stands and come out and play:confused:

Ken Alfano was at the track yesterday testing, so who knows, maybe he'll be out soon. That's two!

I also know a lot of guys have back-up cars and cars just sitting:

01 - Rob Tribuzio (moved, but has his car on the Island, I believe...)
04 - Rob Valone (busy job, but get that car out, the LM contingent will help you get going)
1x - Dave Brigati (two great cars, and I know your team is busy, maybe bring one out for fun once in a while)
2/21 - Peter & Keith Rotzi (had 3 cars, but I heard sold 2)
8 - Sean Patterson (gone fenderless, sell that car)
9 - Joe Cerabino (car up for sale, and it's a good one, I know, I worked on it)
28 - Roger Maynor (I heard you can turn left only pretty well at Mountain, try it at Riverhead, I bet you can put on a show!)
35 - Kenny Alfano (I know you got some issues preventing you come out, maybe escape them, by coming out one weekend)
36 - Eric Lutz (hey, come moonlight in the Late Models, you're welcome to do so)
37 - Bob Baker (hey, where have you been?)
55 - John Wicks (you too, get that car out!)
77 - James Vaccaro (I know you're busy with the two youngin's, let's get a move on and bring it out)
99 - Jack Orlando (good to hear you're back)

13 cars just sitting, if they came out, we would have 25 cars at Riverhead

Folks with backups (maybe bring them out, so we can look like we've got a big field):
08 - Jarrod Hayes
10 - Scott Kulesa
14 - Mike Mortimer
23 - Kevin Metzger

If we get all our cars out there, we can put up to potentially 29 cars. Let's get a moving... Move those obstacles, dust off the car, and at least come out. Ride in the back to start out so we can make it look as if we've got cars. This will ensure our beloved division stays where it is.

Well J-Rod ordered tires yesterday for the 01, so he'll be up to run in a few weeks...

The 99 will be out this week

And as far as JRods backup car goes... we need to get the motor freshened before anything can happen with that... but ya never know, maybe we'll throw it together for a race ...

What Roger Maynor's blast-it sandblasting # 28 needs is a sponsor to help out with a Hans device.

$800.00 - $1,000.00
How much are late model tires ?

Tires are about $85 more than what 1st place pays.

Looks like to me that not only are there lots of people dressed as empty seats but lots of cars without regular drivers? A 12 car feature stinks, but only goes to show which direction the show is beginning to head. I really feel bad for the warriors such as RJ, Scott, Danny, Greg, Morty (when the heck did he ever have a back up car JA?), show up every week. At least this weekend 2 divisions actually had full fields.

Johnny Wicks will be racing Fathers Day Weekend at Riverhead for the last time. Due to the death of his grandmother this Winter, we are moving to Ocala, Florida this summer, where he will continue to race at the tracks there.

Goooood News ... well for some anyway

Young Guns/Cappazola Motorsports will have 2... cars in competition this week... Old Betsy is gonna make her return this week... and of course we will have a special guest from Ga. in the field in his own car that we are GLAD to have back this week... spells BAD news for some of the competition....

I think you forgot to mention who's driving the second car, Fred? J-Rod is very talented, but no one can be in two cars at once, LOL.

a guest from Ga. that only leaves Rob Tribuzio! It was pretty easy to guess that one Freddie.

yea i didnt mean for the ga one to be too tough... lol

and it will be Dougie "Fresh" Ogiejko (spelling?) in Jrods backup car. a former EKRA standout

At least that will make it a possible 14 drivers. It still doesn't answer why the car counts are so poor, not only in the Late Models, but in the other divisions, too.

perhaps because my son will spend 600 a week on his blunderbust to go racing. (cost of tires, fuel, pit passes, food) and i would think it goes up from there as far as divisions go. money is tight thats a big reason.
