as soon as you get it, take some photos for us!!! I'm excited about the progress. The history of Long Island racing is so important. Many of the racers and fans know nothing about early history of racing and what a huge part Long Island took in it! Vanderbilt raced in the early days of Daytona before Nascar was even down there. The vanderbilt Cup with the ealry open roadster indy style cars. We have neglected the history of other forums of racing and wish we could get more info in such tracks as National, Bridgehampton, west hampton...... etc. There's so much and so much has not even been indented. I know some guys came out for old timers day who reps. Vanderbilt and Bridgehampton, why not get other forms involved.

I have a couple of photos of the car just before and during it's recent restoration.
The file size is too big to upload would be happy to email to anyone who wants them.

Enginboy, that was a great restoration job. The car looks exactly as I remember it, and is a great tribute to Ernie Maynor, and to all off you who restored it to it's greatness.
