Hi folks,

With the success of our new staff duds (sorry folks, they're only for staff), we have decided to open a contest for our t-shirt.

We want to know, is what would your Jam T-Shirt say? What would you want on it?

Keep in mind, it needs to stay rated PG-13.

The open forum for ideas will remain open until June 11th, where we will then open a poll for folks to decide on our finalists.

There will be prizes for the winners, and runner-ups.

So let's get those ideas going. Let's see what we can come up with, so we can debut it during the summer.

My T-shirt would say, " LongIslandJam.com, where I get my racing news first!".

Okay, who else has one that will fit on a shirt? :)

I don't think The Jam needs a catchy phrase, seems out dated too do it. But I think it's all in the design of the shirt that will catch people's eye. Seems suttle and not bold lettering and also darker colors is in the t-shirt merch buisness. Maybe a a tire or car part (alt., cam shaft) running the lenght of under arm to bottom on the side of the shirt before the shoulder. Most shirts selling are in the emo style. lol longislandjam.com on the front or alongside the picture or reverse side of the shirt.

Submit a drawing, it would probably be much clearer to us all.

I personally think that the more simple you go the better...it is more eye catching.

I am sure everyone is well aware of the army shirts...the ones that are grey with just 4 large bold black letters on it that you can see from far away rather than a small left breast patch with a logo and a saying on the back that you have to squint to see.

My idea is to have either a light shirt with dark letters or vice versa so it is eye cathching and maybe just "JAM" on the front with the website url on the back. I am not too creative but I think that a simple style is more attention grabbing than lots of colors/logos, well simplicity or a funny saying will always catch an eye for me!

REAL SMALL LETTERS, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooh, yeah! All right!
We're jammin':
I wanna jam it wid you.
We're jammin', jammin',
And I hope you like jammin', too.

Ain't no rules, ain't no vow, we can do it anyhow:
I'n'I will see you through,
'Cos everyday we pay the price with a little sacrifice,
Jammin' till the jam is through.

We're jammin' -
To think that jammin' was a thing of the past;
We're jammin',
And I hope this jam is gonna last.

No bullet can stop us now, we neither beg nor we won't bow;
Neither can be bought nor sold.
We all defend the right; Jah - Jah children must unite:
Your life is worth much more than gold.

We're jammin' (jammin', jammin', jammin')
And we're jammin' in the name of the Lord;
We're jammin' (jammin', jammin', jammin'),
We're jammin' right straight from Yah.

Yeh! Holy Mount Zion;
Holy Mount Zion:
Jah sitteth in Mount Zion
And rules all creation.

Yeah, we're - we're jammin' (wotcha-wa),
Wotcha-wa-wa-wa, we're jammin' (wotcha-wa),
See, I wanna jam it wid you
We're jammin' (jammin', jammin', jammin')
I'm jammed: I hope you're jammin', too.

Jam's about my pride and truth I cannot hide
To keep you satisfied.
True love that now exist is the love I can't resist,
So jam by my side.

We're Jammin' (jammin', jammin', jammin'), yeah-eah-eah!
I wanna jam it wid you.
We're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin',
We're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin';
Hope you like jammin', too.
We're jammin', we're jammin' (jammin'),
We're jammin', we're jammin' (jammin').
I wanna (I wanna jam it wid you) - I wanna -
I wanna jam wid you now.
Jammin', jammin' (hope you like jammin' too).
Eh-eh! I hope you like jammin', I hope you like jammin',
'Cause (I wanna jam it wid you). I wanna ... wid you.
I like - I hope you - I hope you like jammin', too.
I wanna jam it;
I wanna jam it.

Not to be unkind or anything, but if RGee's entry wins, the runner-up prize will have to be an evening length gown!!! LOL. I don't think you could fit all that on a T-shirt, even if you included the back and the sleeves!!!:lol:

LongIslandJam
06-09-2007, 10:53 PM

According to another post, your tastes have changed?!?!
Seems overpriced hot dogs at Yankee Stadium and yummy AND pricey Starbucks Coffee at the Garden are the way to go?!?!
Maybe the 1st prize should be a nice LIJam seat cushion for those hard stadium seats!!!!
Or some expensive heartburn meds?!?! LOL

most phrases are going to sound cheesy, all you need is the name and a design. I think what we have is good. Maybe we can some people who are into photoshop and design a shirt instead of just a phrase.
