I was reading on a web site that Riverhead will host an SCCA solo 2 tt race at the track on Sunday the 24th. Anyone know anything?

It is a non-spectator event, with admission to participants only, or at least that's the way it was announced at the track tonight. More info can be found on the SCCA website.

You have to join the SCCA, then see the rules depending on class, the solo stuff is the easier and less expensive stuff to get involved with, but you need to contact the scca, or hit there site and join there.

Well, I went to the event and I had a blast. Some fast cars, the event was run great. The course they set up was awesome. I'm going to do it again. It cost $40 to sign up for the event. I got 5 runs in.

I know sometimes they run in a parking lot, like Smith's Point beach. Did they use the track itself or the pits? Is that one one of the reasons they had no people who could watch?

Does anyone know when the next one will be? I would actually consider participating.
