LARSEN BROTHERS MEMORIAL 75 LAP MODIFIED FEATURE THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 30TH

Wall Twsp., NJ. - Wall Township Speedway presents the annual Larsen Brothers Memorial 75 lap Modified feature this Saturday, June 30th on Enterprise Rent-A-Car night. Racing starts at 6:30PM. This race has been held each year for the Larsen family as a tribute to the lives of Thor and Greg Larsen, since they were tragically lost in two separate work related accidents several years ago. The Larsens were a mainstay at Wall every week, with both Greg and Thor's familiar faces in the grandstands and pits for many years. Brother Gary is still involved with the track in many capacities.

The Whelen All American Series Modifieds will be competing in a 75 lap feature event which will offer double points for the division. The cars will qualify through time trials and lap money will also be paid. Lap Sponsorship is still available for $25 dollars a lap, anyone interested in sponsoring a lap can contact the track office at 732-681-6400 from 9am till 5pm up until the race Saturday.

This season has been one of the most competitive in years for Wall Township Speedway. There are very tight championship fights going on in all six divisions.

The WTS Modifieds have a tight points battle, with leader Justin Gumley holding a slim two point lead over 2004 WTS Modified Champion Kevin Flockhart. Flockhart is already a three time winner this season. Steven Reed and Shaun Carrig are also within reach of taking over the points lead this Saturday.

The Street Stock division will be off this week to prepare for the $10,000, 50 lap Scott Motor Coach Street Stock Bonanza on July 7th. Points leader Rich Mongeau holds the lead over Ron Frees and defending champ Bill Vanderveen.

Kevin Eyres only has a three point margin over Multi-time track champ Chas Okerson in the Sportsman division. But Charlie Kremer III and Elliott Wohl may have something to say about that in this weeks competition.

In the tracks newest division, the RMP Modified Affordable Division or MAD, third generation driver Danny Bohn will try to fight off the challenges of Kevin Eyres, Robert Geibel, and Kevin Davison to hold onto his point lead.

The INEX Legend Cars have point contender Mike Fulton and Ronnie Poley trying to distance themselves from the other drivers, but Danny Roslin and Mark Tischler may have something to say about that this Saturday night.

The Value Towing Factory Stocks have teammates Vern McLaughlin and Richard Petey trying to settle the title between themselves, while Nick Shaw and two time winner Danny Collamer are hot on their heels.

If you are looking for something to do this Saturday night, why not come out and support local short track racing at the Jersey Shore. Regular night prices will be in effect, they are available on the tracks website on the ticket page at www.wallspeedway.com.

We will also be holding drawings for tickets to Raceway Park (http://www.racewaypark.com) in Old Bridge Township, NJ as part of our promotional efforts with them.
