Any thoughts to where it was taken?

Art. In examining the picture extensively, it looks as it it was taken at some sort of Race Track. I hope that helps ya. :)

my best guess would be New Smyrna, but it really looks to crowded.

I'll say New Smyrna too. He has the "Brass Rollcage" decal on the LR, that's not far from the track.

Look in the background, looks like covered grandstands. Oswego? Decal leftover from running NS earlier in the year?

Don't think it's Riverside.... No hand railing in front of the fence and solid white walls. Don't think it is Oswego either, I think even back then they had the taller walls. You can see the front stretch wall in this pic from 1972 http://www.jakessite.com/images/coniam04.jpg

Don't really have a guess, but don't think it is Riverside or Oswego.... geez that really narrows it down huh? LOL
