# 1. & # 2 photos of # 3 1961 Pontiac Daytona Beach Kennel Club sponsor race car back together again.
# 3. & # 4 photos of the (2) modified race cars # 74 and # 9 in back ground of Jim Paschal's photo shoot. They might had been in the 1961 Modified race at Daytona International Speedway. I don't know the race car drivers names?

I doubt that the '37 Ford sedan was in the '61 modified race. If I am not mistaken the pre WWII cars only participated in the '59 & '60 modified events at Daytona. After the massive 37 car wreck in the '60 race, only the newer body styles were permitted there. Also, Jim Paschal never moved to sprints. He was still an occasional Grand National competitor until his death.

I never heard of this gentleman before writing this piece?

On July 5, 2007, I received from an auction a copy of the Sunday July 4,1976 Daytona "Medal of Honor" "Firecracker 400" International Speedway's racing program.
On page 129, was a full page ad on the "Daytona Beach Kennel Club" sponsors of 1960 Daytona "500" winner car no.27, driven by Junior Johnson.
1961 Charlotte "World 600" winner; 1961 "Firecracker 250" winner: 1961 "Atlanta 400" winner: car no. 3, driven by David Pearson.
