WALL TWP., N.J. -- Steve Reed, of Freehold, became the fifth different Larsen Brothers Memorial winner in as many of the annual races run here at Wall Township Speedway Saturday night. Danny Bohn, of Freehold; Kevin Eyres, of Colts Neck; Dennis Macri, of Waretown and Gregg Clerico, of Egg Harbor Twp. won their respective Enterprise Rent-A-Car Night support features.

Reed ousted front row mate Mike Carpenter on a successful start and went on to win his first Wall NASCAR Whelen All-American Series modified main off the year. The RTE Transmissions/County Line Auto Body No. 55 RTE-Chevrolet pilot led all 75 laps despite a race-long challenge by Kevin Flockhart and six restarts. The restarts included three opening lap attempts that saw polesitter Dave Cranmer sent to the pits after a collision with front row mate Tom Farrell III. Chas Okerson, Michael Bohn and last week's Race of Champions winner Ken Woolley, Jr. rounded out the top five of 11 finishers and 17 starters. Reed also set a 12.557 sec., 95.469 mph effort in time trials on the banked, paved one-third mile oval.

Dennis Macri won his first INEX Legends Cars main of the year but the Calabreeze Pools/Collision Correctors No. 28 600 Racing-Yamaha driver apologised on how he won. Dan Roslin and Geibel split the heats.

Reigning RMP Modified Affordable Division champion Danny Bohn ousted Steve Voorhees to win their 25-lap feature. Bohn missed the victory lane celebrations so he can switch from his Downs Ford No. 659 McGill- RMP Chevy to finish eighth in the Larsen Brothers race.

Kevin Eyres led the entire 25-lap sportsman main over Chas Okerson and Elliott Wohl. The Avis Rental Center/County Line Rondeau-Chevy No. 21 driver then thanked WTS management in honoring his two friends - and reminded the fans of sportsman king Ray Gastelu's fatal heart attack six years ago that night.
