The lone event on the DeLange Racing calendar last weekend was a visit to Spencer Speedway in Williamson , New York on Friday night. Erick Rudolph of Ransomville was scheduled to make his Modified debut at Spencer in the #45 Original Pizza Logs Modified. Unfortunately thunderstorms that invaded Upstate New York on Friday afternoon forced the cancellation of all racing at Spencer that night.

Rudolph will be the lone member of the DeLange Young Guns in action this coming weekend. He will return to Spencer on Friday night with the #45 Original Pizza Logs Modified for a 100-lap feature. On Saturday the action shifts to Lancaster Raceway Park for a very special night of racing. The highlight of the program will be the Tommy Druar/Tony Jankowiak Memorial Modified 50. This event honors two Lancaster Modified legends that lost their lives in competition. It is a prestigious race and one every driver dreams of winning. Rudolph hopes to capture his first Lancaster Modified feature to honor two of our racing heroes. He will also be competing at LRP that night in the #12 Original Pizza Logs/PrimeTyme Motorsports/Brigham Concrete SST Sportsman.

Fellow Young Gun Bobby Holmes of Lockport is recovering from the mild concussion he suffered at Oswego Speedway on July 21. As a precautionary measure he will remain on the sidelines this weekend before returning to action at Chemung Speedrome on August 11 in the #22 Original Pizza Logs Modified.

Both of the Young Guns will be racing the DeLange Racing Original Pizza Logs Modifieds at Chemung on August 11 in a Race of Champions Modified Tour Central Region 75-lap feature. This event has been rescheduled from the original June 2 date, when rain showers brought the racing program to a halt after qualifying had been completed. Holmes will start the feature from the outside pole with Rudolph lined up sixth on the starting grid. The DeLange team is looking forward to two good finishes. After that event the crews will begin preparing the Modifieds for a rescheduled 50-lap feature at Lancaster on August 25. Following that is a Race of Champions Modified Tour 125-lap North Region race at Oswego Speedway on September 1.
