The ABC auto parts and car crushing "Mountain Madness" Enduro series event #5 is set for Sunday, August 19.
100 laps-6/8 cylinders
100 laps-4 cylinders
PLUS, The first ever...BIG CAR Enduro relay race.
The way it works is:
1. there will be 4 teams.
2. 3 cars per team.
3. teams will start 4 wide from a standing start...at the start/finish line.
4. cars from each team will be lined up nose to tail.
5. at the drop of the green, car A from each team will take off and race around the first lap. while car A is making it's lap, car B+C will move up one car length to the start/finish line.
6. now for the tricky part...car A must race around as fast as it can, back to the start/finish line, and "tag(bump)" car C, which then must bump(tag) car B. car B will then race around and back to the start/finish line and tag car A, who will bump car C, and then car C will race around one lap...just like a relay race.
7. the race will be 15 laps(5 rounds), and the first team to finish, is the winner.
8. the catch is, ANYTHING goes...to try and slow the other teams down (spinning out, blocking, etc.)
9. a team will be "OUT" if one of their cars can't continue(stall, wreck, flat tire, etc.) and will be black flagged.

Pits open 10:30 AM
Grandstands at 1 PM
Racing at 2 PM

The 4/6 cylinder Trophy Trucks will run with the Big Cars unless there are enough(12 or more) to run their own race. You may, however...run a truck in the Relay Enduro.

Now how about a small request??? A pre registration list on either here, or Mountains web site. If 12 is the number, I think we will have our own show for sure. Come on truckers! Hey Mike, you can start by putting me up there first. Man I love that track. It's soo fast and thanx in advance. My opinion is we have 19 or 20 trucks. Lots of guys are building trucks and I would guess you have 3 truck locals that would come, right??

Even Gunther Gabel Williams, the famous Lion tamer, had an "old lion" that didn't always play well with others.
How many clowns can you fit in a 73 Monte???
Willy S.(track crew) has a black powder cannon...still echoing in the valley from the Big Dog Mod event.
How about a high wire act, on that power line above the track?;)

a bunch of the truck enduro guys are coming out to Mountain this weekend. They were wondering the purse info if based on 15 trucks?? It looks like there will be a decent truck showing, maybe more than 15. JMO
