WALL TWP, N.J. -- Shaun Carrig, of Little Falls; Richard Petey, of Hackettstown; Mark Tischler, of Bridgewater, Rich Hallgring, of Howell, and Ray Minieri, of Bay Shore, N.Y., win their first respective Wall Township Speedway features on Scott Motor Coach Sales Night Saturday. Kevin Eyres, of Colts Neck, won his seventh feature of the season on the first of four reduced admission nights through Sept. 1.

Carrig got the drop on polesitter Jason Treat and eventual runner-up Mike Carpenter by. .407 sec. to in his first Wall NASCAR Whelen All- American Series modified main of the year. The Troyer-Chevrolet No. 91 pilot and former INEX Legends Cars star ran second to Nelson Heating & Plumbing teammate Michael Bohn here Aug. 4. Current WAAS points leader Kevin Flockhart took third over Bohn while two accidents put out rival Steve Reed by lap 13. Scott Motor Coach Sales, of Lakewood, N.J., supported the WTS Saturday program for the second time this season. The Shining Star Shriners, of Westhampton, also paid their second annual fundraising appearance. WTS Manager Jim Morton meanwhile reduced Saturday admission prices to $14 per adult, children 13-17 and senior citizens 65 plus to $10, children six-12 and active military I.D. holders to $6 for Aug. 18 and 25 plus Sept. 1. Two adults may qualify for the family package whereby a child age 6-12 enters free.

Petey finally won his first WTS Value Towing Factory Stock feature on the banked, paved one-third-mile oval and at the technical inspection shed. The McLaughlin Motorsports/Absolute Auto No. 6 Chevy Monte Carlo split the eight lap heats with Tom Fratesi and came from 12th starting place to oust early leader Bob McIntyre. The enduro legend was denied his first class triumph Aug. 4 after post-race scrutineers found recapped racing treads on his otherwise stock tires.

VALUE TOWING Factory Stock graduate Tischler won his first career Legends feature by leading all 25 laps over Daniel Roslin and Dennis J. Macri. Tischler bought an ex- Stull Racing 600 Racing-Yamaha No. 0 three weeks ago.

Hallgring called the RMP Modified Affordable Division feature for his second divisional career win and first of the year. The BNR Woody's Roadside Tavern/Tymbalart.com No. 0 Troyer-Chevy pilot ousted Robert Geibel Jr. on a lap 22 restart and held him off by.738 sec. the last three laps. Hallgring had dedicated the victory beforehand to the late Kelly Shea; the daughter of Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club officers Ray and Nancy Shea had suffered a fatal aneurysm earlier in the week.

"Radiant Ray" Minieri copped his first street stock feature of the year by taking the point from Howie Conk, Jr. on lap three and repelling Ron Frees the remaining 22.

Eyres won his sixth sportsman main of the season and, with his RMP MAD win, his seventh overall by 1.306 sec. over divisional king Chas Okerson. The Avis/Top Cuts Lawn Care Rondeau-Chevy No. 21 driver received some controversy when he had tapped poleman Dave Green into fifth place on lap 21. Jim Morton announced that the sportsman division will return in 2008. The number of dates are to be determined, however, by how many cars show.
