Cool 'old school' presentation of the starting lineup Rich. I like seeing the rows separated like that...adds a nice visual image in my tired old brain! Hope it's a good and safe race today. Wish I was there (as always) but my hand is not quite healed up enough for the drive north.

Thanks but it was Thompson PR that did it.
I agree though, it's a nice way to lay it out....

I can't believe I'm on my computer in the infield during a race posting on TCH. What am I doing with all this technology?

The rain started just as the TV race was ready to go green.

Matt Hirschman won the RoC race.

We are under a rain delay and all that is left to run is the TV feature and the WMT feature. Hopefully I'll be busy and won't be able to post again.

The photo was taken about 10 minutes ago (4 PM)

...Just got back from a little jaunt around Cape Ann.....and since it poured cats & dogs, the first thing I looked at when I got back was the radar....

Some folks on another list will probably hang me in effigy since I posted around noon time how to get the link, but it looks like the same little cloud-burst just hung over Thompson for 1/2 the afternoon. :(

Hope I'm wrong - Rich

Thank God for that great SK 'race' otherwise, I might not have to go back to Thompson again in two weeks.

Note to Thompson, run the SK's LAST at the World Series. Thank you.

And to think I was kicking myself in the butt for not going. Spent the whole day with bright sunshine here in New York City. This my open up an opportunity to see the race after all.

And you get the cost of the SK demo deducted from your ticket price!

I must say there was not too much passing in the ROC race but they didn't wreck too many.

They ran 75 laps in less time than the 35 lap SK. (Do they wreck like that on Thursday night?)

I agree, please last next time for the SK's as a penance.

I'm at Thompson every week and they aren't usually THAT bad. Yes they do have some cautions but not that many. But then again they usually get just 22-26 cars weekly.

I've seen the SK's at Thompson on quite a few Thursday nights this season and this past Sunday was one of the worst as far as the caution laps go. I'm sure the track conditions must have played some part in it but it also seemed like there were some guys racing like it was a 20 lap main. They went to single file restarts pretty quick ( you knew it was coming) but it didn't seem to help much. I was sorry to see it get cut short, it seemed like the outcome might have been different had it gone the distance. I was also surprised to see Jimmy get sent to the rear for a second time, the first time seemed warranted but the second time seemed very questionable.

Question: Why were all the restarts for the ROC single file? Is that what they normally do?

I knew that Glenn Boss was not running a legal car, my son asked me why he was so far ahead of the field and I said " I have a funny feeling he won't be hanging on to the win." Anyone know what the deal was as to why he wasn't legal? I was sorry to see Steve Maase get banged up during the SK race, he's really been getting fast and seems to be driving clean. This is the second time in a row that he's had a dnf at Thompson. If he can keep his car in one piece he's going to be a threat out there sooner than later.

I'll shut up now! LMAO!

Pretty sure something about the tranny was illiegal with Glen Boss. Though Stefanikfan can shed some light on this one whenever he logs in and reads this....
