FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT PRESENTED BY SCOTT MOTOR COACH SALES
AT WALL THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH
by Mike Clayton

WALL TWP., NJ -- The always popular "Fan Appreciation Night" will take place this Saturday, September 15th at Wall Township Speedway, on Rt. 34 in Wall, NJ. This event is being presented by Scott Motor Coach Sales of Lakewood, NJ. All fans will be invited out onto the track from 5:15pm until 6:15pm to see the cars up close and have a chance to "meet and greet" with other fans, the teams, and get drivers autographs. Wall Township Speedway's 6 weekly divisions will be represented, so your favorite Whelen All-American Modifieds, Street Stocks, RMP Modified Affordable Division, Sportsman, INEX Legend Cars, and Value Towing Factory Stock race cars will be on display around the 1/3 mile high-banked oval. If you want to meet your favorite drivers, or see their cars up close, this is every fans chance to have it all! The Scott Motor Coach Sales Night qualifying events followed by 6 feature races will begin at approximately 6:30pm after cars and fans clear from track. Reduced prices will be in effect for this event, Grandstand admission is only $14 dollars for an adult, $10 dollars for kids 13 to 17 and Seniors 65 and over, $6 dollars for children ages 6 to 12 and "Active" Military ID holders, and children age 5 and under are always admitted free!

With only 4 point paying events left in the division battles for the track titles, all 6 division crowns are far from being settled.

In the lightning fast NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds, Steven Reed in his dad Harry's famous 55 is trying to claim his first NASCAR Track Championship, but holds only a slim 8 point lead over 2004 track champ Kevin Flockhart in the Scisco Racing 12. Multi-time Sportsman champion Chas Okerson has his number 99 just 80 points out of the lead in 3rd as he tries to add a Modified crown to his already impressive resume. The 91 of Shaun Carrig holds the 4th spot, while the Frank Tilton owned 77 driven by Mike Carpenter and 33 of Jason Treat are tied for 5th heading into this weeks 40 lap feature.

Car 77 driver Rich Mongeau continues to hold a 15 point advantage over the 43 of Ron Frees in the Street Stocks. Driver of the number 12 John McCormack, defending champ Bill Vanderveen in the 19, and the 1 with Ray Minieri driving all still have shot at unseating Mongeau before the season ends. Minieri is the only driver in the top 5 in points that has not worn this crown before.

In the Sportsman title hunt, the 21 of Kevin Eyres has claimed 6 wins already this year, but hangs onto a slim 9 point lead over Multi-time champ Chas Okerson, who won the recent Scott Motor Coach 50 lapper in his 99, for his 2nd win of 2007 in this division. The 77 of Charlie Kremer III, 5 of Dave Green, and the 14 of Elliott Wohl round out the top 5 in points with 4 weeks to go.

Coming off his first WAAS Modified win, young Danny Bohn in the legendary 659 is trying to win his second straight RMP Modified Affordable Division championship. The 97 of 2nd generation driver Robert Giebel trails him by only 15 points heading into this Saturday. Kevin Eyres in the AVIS 2, 48 of Kevin Davison, and 09 of Scott Riggleman continue the battle to hold onto their top five place in the 2007 title race.

Mike Fulton and his number 90 INEX Legend car lead that divisions point standings. Number 64 Ronnie Poley trails Fulton by 44 points heading into this weeks event. 03 Dan Roslin, 88 Stephen Stull, and 19 of Don Neuls round out the top 5 in Legends points thus far in the season.

In the popular Value Towing Factory Stocks, Vern McLaughlin III in the 06 leads the field with 80 points over 66 Nick Shaw. McLaughlin's teammate Richard Petey in the 6, the 42 of Danny Collamer, and 21 of Joe Constandi hold the top 5 spots for the season title with only 4 points paying races to go.
