The WHELEN Modified Tour is a holding pattern at NHIS as the track wasn't dry enough for the Mods Jet dryers still working as they are prepping for the Craftsman Truck Series start at 3:PM driver intros for CTS is 2:30 PM

JJ Yeley said the Mods are the most exciting event at NHIS. Todd Szegedy said he ready to challenge the Magic Mile.

The WMT will run after the Truck Series, per revised schedule.

Thanks a lot for the race report, I wish I could have turned on the t.v. to watch it but at least those who aren't there know the outcome. You had me worried in the beginning, I was thinking it was going to be a mostly yellow event but it sounds like they ran pretty well overall. Too bad they shrunk it down to 75 laps but it was still way better than it could have been. :cheers:

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! I had to do a boiler installation today aaargh! I didn't plan ahead and scheduled the job before I realized that the race was on the same date. It's nice to know that when I get home at 6:00, I can log onto TCH and find out everything I need to know!

Unfortunately CTC, this is a price we as WMT fans pay for getting two Saturday shows at Loudon. It looked good on paper but we all know how that is. From what I was told, and what Dave posted here, it seemed like a lot of cautions and wasted laps cleaning up the cautions. The race started at 5:30 and approximately 40 minute later only 27 laps complete.

There was also the alternatives, no race or rescheduled until monday. They tried their best to get it in today, which they did. Congrats to Todd Szegedy and the Mike Smeriglio owned Wisk/ Snuggle team on your first NHIS win.

Sunday 9:26am ET - A Sunday morning update from NHIS. There may may be an issue with the engine of the #2 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour entry driven by Todd Szegedy that won Saturday's WMT event. Speed51.com has confirmed with a NASCAR spokesman that Szegedy's winning engine is on its way to the NASCAR Research and Development Center in Concord, NC for further evaluation on its specifications. We have also learned that the issue in question may have to do with the intake manifold.
