WALL TWP., N.J. -- Kevin Flockhart, of Jackson, Mike Fulton, of Bridgewater, Danny Bohn, of Freehold and Vern McLaughlin III, of Whitehouse Station added to their respective Wall Township Speedway points championship efforts by winning their features on USG/Matheny School Night Saturday. Flockhart used his handicapper-drawn pole position to lead all 40 laps of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series modified main.

The Crestwood Jewelers No. 12 Sisco-Chevrolet driver won his fifth WTS feature of the season by repelling Shaun Carrig by .221 sec. The 2004 WTS WAAS champ gained 11 points on current point leader Steven Reed of Freehold, who finished fifth with two season points races to go. Howell's Jimmy Blewett got his late brother John's No. 76 modified from 13th starting place to fourth before his gearbox gave out on lap 12. Blewett said he will be back for the Oct. 6 double-points season-ending Turkey Derby qualifier. Chas Okerson and Mike Carpenter rounded out the top four of eight finishers. Blewett and six other drivers failed to finish.

Fulton added 55 vital WTS INEX Legends Cars points by winning his third feature of the season. The Ideal Auto Body No. 90 600 Racing- Yamaha pilot ousted poleman Robert Geibel while both were lapping Beth MacFarlane on lap 21. Bob Baltera and Dan Roslin, who borrowed his father Bruce's No. 03 after a heat crash, rounded out the top four of 17 finishers. Fulton may win his first class title over Roslin, Ron Poley and Steve Stull in Sept. 29's divisional double points feature.

Bohn annexed his sixth RMP Modified Affordable Division victory after starting ninth and ousting Rob Williams on lap 10. The Reid Sod Farm No. 659 Bohn-modified Megill-RMP Chevy led the last 15 laps for a 1.314 sec. victory margin on Williams.

McLaughlin won his third Value Towing Factory Stock feature despite finishing a hard-fought second to Steve Weber. WTS officials disqualified Weber for having an oversized engine after leading all 20 laps. Bill Connolly, Gary Pein and Nick Shaw rounded out the top five to the McLaughlin Motorsports No. 06 Chevy man.

Mongeau became WTS's all time street stock feature winner by passing poleman Harry Schaefer on lap 24 of their 25-lap feature. The multiple class titlist and his No. 77A Plus Fratto Bros. Wholesale Autos Chevy now have 36 feature victories - one more than former No. 77 driver Craig "Pepe" Wallis.

Kremer won the 25-lap sportsman main after he and poleman Dave Green collided on lap 10. Green faded to sixth in the mishap while Kremer's Blenhiem Construction No. 77 Raceworks-Chevy went on to a .705 sec. victory on Chas Okerson.

The Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club put 12 of their modifieds on an exhibition on the banked, paved one-third-mile oval during intermission. USG Sheetrock sponsored their third night of the season while at least 11 of Peapack's Matheny School students had a special night out.

All six Wall Township Speedway divisions, the Whelen All-American Series Modifieds, Street Stocks, RMP Modified Affordable Division, Sportsman, INEX Legend Cars (double points), and Value Towing Factory Stocks plus the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club are to return Saturday, September 29th. Grandstand gates open at 4pm with qualifying races starting at 6:30pm.

The Four Cylinder Supermodifieds join Wall Sunday Series' Calabreeze Pools Legends, Van Wickle NAPA Bandoleros and other scaled and kart racers on the fifth- mile inner oval noon Sept. 30.
