Camaro Body figure 8 built by Ray Theiss and Ken Resnick (one of many from 1975-1983) First driven by Ray Theiss and then Ken Resnick at Islip Speedway. I was a mere 15 years young (far right) for the build and 16 as the driver.
Enjoy the memories....

Build another car, or buy one that is ready and come out and play.

There has been offers to drive and I am considering that very seriously .
Been many years since my figure 8 days . Our last year in a fig 8 was that horrible night I was three cars behind Ernie , the night of his passing . But with mentors such as I had with Ray and Chris Young , it may be time to get back in a fig 8 .
The 4cyl enduro division I drove this year was a blast ( 5th in points) , but my heart will always belong to the fig 8's .

Out of curiosity, how many figure eight cars are currently idle or for sale these days?

I would love to see a list compiled of cars that are sitting and the owner is just not sure of what he is doing-cars for sale-cars that need work.
For all divisions.
The out come could be sparks of interest, Or the owner realizing that it is time to move on. And somone else getting started.
Anyway, Keith Repp has George Brown's and Roger Maynor's coupe.
I believe it is for sale.
Dalke has Tommy Ryan's Nova, it has a Lumina body, no motor.
Vinny P has George Brown's Vette, no motor.
Frankie Zuess has his coupe, just sitting.
Joe Saracino has his car.
Billy Steen working on a motor.
Billy Batch?
I'm sure there are more.
