The annual Riverhead Automotive Swap Shop will be held @ the the raceway and hosted by Bob Finan this Sunday, October 28th from 10am-4pm with vendor gates opening at 9am. To be a vendor will cost $20.00 per spot. There will also be an $8.00 admission for all who attend. There will also will be EEKR event that day (all normal fees apply). A portion of the proceeds will go to The Victory Junction Gang Camp in the memory of Big Bob O'Rouke and The Tiger, Tom Baldwin, who had supported this for many many years. Bob Finan has always supported all drivers and I feel we owe it to him to go down and check it out. Besides, you can also take in a rare day of racing with tons of competition in all divisions.

Mortgage Guy, you beat me to it...I was going to post a reminder note this evening. It's normally a good day for checking out what's for sale and picking up some parts, etc., and the go-karts are an added bonus. The fact that some of the proceeds will go to the Victory Junction Camp this year is great! Thanks...

I do plan on going to the swap meet,
And I am looking for STUFF so if you have a garage full, bring it out.
Need to up date the shocks on my late model, and need all kinds of spare parts. and always looking for old figure 8 cars .
please bring out what you have laying around.
Also, cars, chassis, bring them out. This is the time to get new drivers in a car for next year.
There are many cars on the Island. Turn them into cash to help out your '08 season.

There were slim pickings, I brought down my 19x blunderbust and I feel I wasted time and money because there was barely any people interested in the "swap shop", but hey, what are ya going to do?

I drove by, I didn't get time to stop in. Your were just bringing the car through the gate when I drove by. Did any car get sold or anybody pick up anything worth while?

I think Doug Wholey may have sold his late model but I am not 100 percent sure.

Interesting, didn't he buy another new chassis for 2008? Wonder who bought it? If he didn't sell it, it would have been a good car for Chris! Or an out of state car for Danny.

Nope, Doug is out as a driver, and maybe as owner. He has moved upstate for good. He is selling the car, no motor or tranny. If he hasnt sold it already.

Man what a loss for the track. Doug spent a lot of money there, and was always so happy and fun to be around. I hate to see the race community lose a guy like that. I wonder why he is selling his stuff? He loves racing. We will miss you bro., but good luck upstate.
