I was just wondering..... Has anyone seen him or heard anything about the former Modified #380 driver from the early '60s until about 1980? He was the 1970 Islip Modified co-champion and 1975 Freeport Modified champion (open competition). I just was perusing a Race of Champions program and it showed a color photo of him with the Frank Kelly #34 ride (out of PA) at the 1980 Pocono R.o.C.

If I am not mistaken, he is down in Kentucky. I can find out particulars from an old mutual friend and pass them along if you like.

As a kid at Islip, next to Charlie he was my favorite driver.

Very smooth, consistant very few wrecks.

Loved that 380 Vega.

Yes, excellent pic in that vintage mod, I remember him the best at Freeport around 1973-5 battling Charlie in turn 2.
