This week Donnie Lia is the sport hero of the week (for the 3rd time this year).

And there is a nice article about old time LI, which intervews Marty Himes. There are some old Islip and Freeport pictures.

It's nice to see a paper that actually knows there are and were local race tracks and race drivers on LI, without having to take out an ad in the sports section.

You can also vote (Please do) on their web page what closed entertainment center do you miss the most and Islip/ Freeport is a choice! It's at the bottom right.
