Mountain Sport Mods

The Mountain Sport Modified rules should be available for the Mall Show. Here are some of the basics:
-Northeastern style tube chassis Modifieds (Troyer, Raceworks, Spafco, CD, etc.)
-9 to 1 compression (Mountain Street Stock engine rules), with the following exceptions: 650 cfm Holley four barrel-#4777 or #80541 permitted.
-Minimum(smallest) racing clutch allowed will be 7-inch.
-13 inch maximum wheel width with Hoosier 1070(Right side) or 1055(Left side) track tire.
-Cars that compete as Northeast Mod lites, SK lites, or MAD Mods are welcome, but must inform tech which rules they will be running under.
-Crate Engines will be subject to tech inspection, regardless of engine seals.
-Stock mount Internal wet sump oil pump only. (NO external oil pumps)

The seven tentative race dates are as follows:
Saturday, April 19
Sunday, May 11
Sunday, May 25
Sunday, June 22
Sunday, July 20
Sunday, Aug. 10
Saturday, Sept. 6

The future of the class will be determined by the interest and response. The April 19th show will be a blockbuster Modified double header weekend, with Sunday(April 20) being the first of the PA Asphalt Modified Championship events, and it would be great to see the pit area full of 50+ Mods...so let's get this division started in a BIG way, and make that first event a success!

I would like to have at least one Mountain Sport Mod at the Mall Show, so if anyone thinks they will have their car ready, please contact the speedway office at (570)384-3215.

"SST Modifieds must weigh 2600 lbs., maximum 56% Left Side weight with driver in driver’s seat-after race."
