Seriously about owls. But I always think of Dumb and Dumber.

From News12 this morning; it seems the SnowGlobe ski resort in Riverhead is going to be held up by Short Eared Owls (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short-eared_Owl).

Hopefully this will kill this project for good. Obviously it will most likely prevent a track as well. But I firmly believe in sour grapes.

I loved Phil Cardinale's response to it. He seemed surprised that these owls 'suddenly appeared'? He needs to come down off his throne a little more often, LOL, and go for a walk in the woods!!

Owls would love a ractrack facility there, more mice to hunt for, LOL! Ski resort, not so much.

How sweet it is! Who would have expected the fat lady singing to be wearing feathers? ( I know I'm ahead a bit, indulge me....) And with commercial paper (credit) getting tighter by the day, it's all good.

Before everyone gets their hopes up, if the owls are to delay or stop the Ski Resort why would they not also stop a Racetrack ? I realize less property but still there going to be very carefull about any type of construction

Oh, I agree Catfish. I'm just felling pretty good about the mountain thing not happening for at least just a little while. There are no guarantees anything will get built. :)
