Shane Hammond Waterford Tribute

Randy Cabral won the NEMA Midget race at Waterford this past weekend. Randy was best friends with Shane Hammond, the NEMA Midget driver killed at Thompson. When I saw this picture of Randy pointing to the sky dedicating the race to Shane, it brought me to tears. The article on Shane is well worth the reading as well.

It was a very touching day, from the missing man start of the NEMA race to Randy's victory lane. Randy asked to crowd to shout "Shane" to honor his friend, the response was overwhelming.
