The time is getting close for the DT 50

The time is getting close for the 3rd annual Duct Tape 50, coming up on June 21st. Again this year we would like to collect lap money and divide it up between the the top three positions for each lap. Right now I am working on getting a sponsor for this race which should raise the purse to be the best one yet. The past two years where great turn outs on the track with some awesome side by side racing, and packed grandstands. This year Mac Brothers Racing does not only want to do this race in honor of our father, but also for two great people we have lost in the racing community, Frank Barbush and Chico Mensinger. Two great people that would bend over backwards to help out anyway they can on and off the track. So on June 21st when your eyes tear up, lets remember there still here with us.

Since we are not at the track every weekend, it's going to be hard to collect the donations for the laps. We will be racing next weekend May 24th and 25th so don't be shy come on over, we are pitted in the back roll. Debbie Heintzleman will also be helping us out by collect for the laps. As the day's tick away, the laps are filling, and car counts should be high. I have gotten calls from NY, PA, NJ, and just one for MD, they may make the trip for this one race. The one sponsor I had for this race has backed out thanks to our great economy, or that's the reason they used. So lets stop the crying, complaining, and figuring pointing and lets race. where going to see back some old faces like the blue and yellow 43 of everyone's Uncle Petey, and the new purple machine of Howie Bott. It's going to be 50 laps of awesome side by side racing. So tell your friends, fans, and family to come to Mountain Speedway for a great time on June 21st. See you all there!!!!!!!!

To all the prospective Thrillers that will be pounding some asphalt for 50 gruling laps this Saturday in memory of the Mac Daddy himself, I want to take a moment to personally thank each and everyone of you. :cheers::cheers:
The extra lap money is looking great and from what I understand the car count should be excellent. Let's have a great safe race but remember, rubbing some fenders, swapping some paint and coming home with a few donuts on your doors never killed anybody. :D:D
For alittle fan appreciation, the first sticky fifty fans through the gate will recieve a dollar scratch off.
I have also made a trophy :)that will have a sticky Fifty stuck to the top, that will be given to the driver that........................well, you'll just have to come and race to find out.:confused:

From phone calls and emails I have recieved there SHOULD be 20 cars plus. We all know how that turns out though, so I am hoping atleast 15 show up. There's been some decent lap money donated for this race which I thank each and everyone of you. It just shows how caring everyone is when it come's to helping out for a race. Thanks again!!!!!!!
