I thought the "New Sport Modified" division was an added division for new modified drivers as well as low buck teams. If you look at the top finishers they look alot like regular mod finishers to me.

Daren Scherer is building a new ROC tour car and runs his SST car when time allows. A good day for him as he picked up the Legends win , as well.
Earl Paules races anything with a steering wheel-both dirt and asphalt.
Rick Zacharias has been running Sportsman type Modifieds forever. Good battle with Earl over the last few laps.
John Wilber runs as an SST Mod at Chemung weekly.
And Robert Sutphin, I believe was a former WTS Modified.

Alot of cars were at Mountain for the first time, and will get better as time progresses. Thanks again to all who made the first show a success.
