Race fans who donate blood at the American Red Cross Blood Drive Friday, June 6, at Lee USA Speedway, will be admitted free of charge for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race program. “It’s our way of saying thanks for supporting this very needy cause,” said Judy MacDonald, owner of Lee USA Speedway. Fans donate and we show our thanks for their support by welcoming them to a night of local short track racing. We’re happy the Red Cross will join us again.”

The American Red Cross provides nearly half of the nation's blood supply. The need for blood is constant - every two seconds somebody in the nation needs blood. NASCAR fans, which make up about one-third of the U.S. population, are well-known for being giving, civic-minded, and patriotic.

Currently NASCAR Sprint-Cup driver Greg Biffle fly’s the American Red Cross colors for Red Cross Racing, designed to link NASCAR fans with the American Red Cross in a meaningful, fulfilling, and fun way to help the organization achieve its annual blood supply goals. Red Cross Racing T-shirts will be given away to lucky fans at Lee.

Blood Donor hours are 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM on the speedway grounds. A blood donor card or picture ID must be presented to donate. Refreshments will be served.

Friday night’s program, presented by Craftsman, the official tools of NASCAR, will feature all of Lee’s weekly divisions plus the N.H.Super Mini-Cups. The touring group features down-sized NASCAR type race cars powered by a Honda GX 390 engine. Drivers range in age from 15 and up and come from all over New England to compete.

Qualifying races for all divisions will start at 7:15 PM. For more info log on to www.leeusaspeedway.com (http://www.leeusaspeedway.com)
