What did everyone think of the 75 lap experiment?

What is everyones thoughts on the 75 lap "cautions don't count race?" Good? Bad? Indifferent?

OK... I have to agree with Mod Junkie here on this one! Plus can you really get your car handling to the way you want it to in only 75 laps? With cautions in between, In my opinion, no. But really can you get a car handling to the way you want it to be in 75 laps PLUS Cautions?

Kyle, if this was a 150 lap race, how many laps would have be green if cautions counted?
Now, if the 75 lap had cautions count, how many green would be run?

I am embarrassed to have been involved with such an event. The fans were screwed, the teams were screwed and the track was, oh wait, the track was the real winner.

RGee, we figured out a few years ago that about 1/3rd of all races are run under caution on average. That was by keeping track of the NASCAR press releases that stated how many cautions there were. That way, we were able to track the races that we didn't actually attend.

That was about 8 years ago. The last time we tracked it two years ago, it was just slightly more than 1/3rd.

Mike, hence my point above to Kyle.
That would put a 150 lap race at about 100 green.
Or a 75 lap race at about 50 laps.
So not seeing some FAN points made about the race.
Stafford 150 - 104 green
Stafford 200 - 129 green
Thompson was rain shortened
My point, if this was a regular 150 lap race, would have been about 100 laps green.
Here we got 75 lap race....
