Thanks for all of the well-wishes. Anyone who knows me knows that my goal at this point in time is to do the best job I can to promote racing on Long Island, and to bring the excitement that we all witness every week at Riverhead to those who can't be there, for whatever reason. This is just another way that I can do that. To clarify for some who have asked the question, NO, this does not mean that I am no longer writing for the Jam. I will actually be doing both, as it is essentially the same information but will just be in a little bit of a different format. I will be submitting my first column to Area Auto Racing News this weekend, and we'll see how it goes from there.

So, thanks again to all of the Jam readers (and Jam staff) for the support. And I owe a special thanks to my "cheerleaders," who have been standing behind me, supporting me and pushing me to do my best. You know who you are, and I really do appreciate you.

And P.S., Scotty, I'll be under the tree, but I expect you to be the one hanging. Don't forget the chicken!

She doesn't use them. She told me early in the season she would "use a funnel and a paint bucket" before she'd use one of those!
