I don't know if your not getting an answer because no one wants to "jinx" it, but I have the same question.

I have people coming out from Queens for the race, by train, so I hope the track has some information about what could happen should tonight not go according to plan.

Everything runs the same from what I heard if it happened.

The heavens are about to erupt in Patchogue:(

Thats a very small cell, most of the rain is out in Pa. right now 2 big band of rain...but the good news is if they continue on the track they are on now one looks like it will pass to the north and one to the south (Big If).

Update: As of 1:30PM it looks like there will be a big shower sometime before 2:00 PM, but its clear after that. There is a large cell of thunderstorms approaching from the west with lightning and high winds.

Ah, looks like the great 'invisible Riverhead umbrella' may save this race yet!:applause:

Gotta wonder, though, how many out of towners would stick around for tomorrow.

Major Cell just about to go thru Manhatten then east, with a second cell right on it`s tail.
The good news is that the speed they are traveling if nothing else developes, it should be all out of here by 3PM.
Get the pumps ready at the track.

I am hoping that they can go tonight, BUT...
I just heard that should the race be called today, they are running at the same time tomorrow?
Could this be correct? Why wouldn't they go with an early start?
If that is true, then that is even more reason to get it done tonight. I am going to start anti-rain dancing... and let's hope tonight is a go..

White Caps? I might come over and do some surfing if you don't mind.

Looks like some more storms around 8-9pm. If I were going, it would hit just as the Modifieds lined up.
