Is there going to be a rain date for this weeks show since they are calling for 70% rain!? It could be critical since the championship is still up for grabs being there is double points on the line and the champions presentation on the track!!! Just curious and would like to see this race determined on the track and not due to rain.

Cancel that motorcycle thing, have some good old Sunday afternoon racing. That would be so cool.

Well i'm not much of a baseball fan, although when I watch I am a Mets fan, but I would much rather go to the track.

If it's going to rain this Saturday and no chance of a make up Sunday, how about an old school double header. Now this is way before my time but I would be very surprised if there were objections. Now hear me out with this:

Friday September 12th- rain date for this Saturday. (if it rains of course)
Saturday September 13th- normal schedule

Now, from stories from my dad this is how it was when all 3 tracks were around. I just think it would be a cool experience, grouling a bit for the drivers, but in an adventurous way.

A grouling race is better then no race...especially when its a double pointer, championship on the line, last race of the season! :applause:

If i were racing for a championship I don't think I'd wanna be running both races in 2 days. I think both drivers have 2 cars, but say they wreck one on friday they have to race for a championship in a backup/borrowed car? Not cool.

That motorcycle fair said "rain or shine" if I'm not mistaken. How many bikes will show up in the rain?

Should of specified I was referring to the post about running a double header in-case of rain. (Friday/Saturday)

If I am not mistaken Nascar has a date in place for final points to be submitted. I believe that is why the divisions that are scheduled to race on Sept. 13 only race for track points. I think the deadline for Nascar points is prior to that night.

According to NASCAR.com, the cutoff date is Sept. 14th for national points..

ones with the little pontoon on the side!

There was language like that in my divorce papers... :D

The two car, Friday,Saturday thing is interesting. Back before cubic dollars ruled, most had only one car which they respected because they owned it and fixed it themselves. Running three times a week was challenging, but certainly doable. Funny how times and stuff change.
I think the town might have something to say about fridays though, I'm not sure.

Yes, Art your right the town would have something to say "NO", from what I understand the agreement is for ONLY a certain number of Saturdays and Sundays from April to Sept with NO Fridays. And I know of more then once the championship was lost or won due to a rainout.

ok, the town has a limit on sats and suns why not add this race to the day.change start time or reconfigure the day to allow them to race!

Ok so I really should of first clarified I don't pay much attention

I thought there was 2 modified races left hence the "double-header". I now see why you were so confused.

If points are to be in by the 14th, next Sunday, why can't we move the race if we get the rain were suppose to get! hmmmm oh well, time to move on!
