Because of the weather forecasts for this afternoon and evening, today's races at Riverhead have been cancelled.

There is no make-up. I am sure further information will be released by the track office during the week.

Congratulations to Bill Park and Tom Rogers Jr. on their respective championships.

Great job of calling the races before 8:30.:applause:

BUT I don't know why they can't ADD the Mods & LM's to the schedule next week. It's not like the track is CLOSED next week!

Oh that's right we might actually have a RACE PAST 10:00pm If they got added. I always thought the curfew was 11pm to start a feature not 9:30.

The joy of being the promoter.....

It should be by 4-4:30 if the radar I just looked at is correct.

I say, run the mods next week, just don't have intermissions and have everyone ready to roll when it's time to roll. Maybe a half hour earlier start time?

Yes, it is pouring in Huntington. Looking at the forecast for Riverhead, it is showing 100% chance of rain from about 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. There would have been a lot of upset teams if everyone got there, unloaded and ran practice, and then got poured on at 5 or 6. I think, judging by the radar, the promoters made the only decision they could for today. I know I, for one, was thankful that the decision was made so early.

Sunny here in Shirley, just finished mowing the lawn. In fact about to jump into the pool. I was sun bathing most of the morning. What a wonderful day it is here in this town.

It rained for 2 mins., waiting for the big stuff!
