Castle Hill Speedway, NY??? Got any Race Photos??? :cheers: :wave:

The Castle Hill Speedway information was found on page 481 of the book: "The History of America's Speedways - Past & Present " by Alan L. Brown.

Castle Hill Speedway - Bronx, NY - 1/4 mile dirt oval (6/10/1938 - 10/10/1939)
the first race scheduled for 6/07/1938 was rained out
1/4 mile paved oval (5/14/1940 - 10/17/1941 / promoter was Bill Heiserman
located at Lafayette and Havemeyer Ave.
the track torn down in 1942 for construction of a defense project.

Glad you found us. Castle Hill was another race track in NYC, held indoor midget races starting in the late 1930's. About 20-25 years ago the remains of Rick Decker's Miller 122 came out of his body shop on Staten Island. It is now in the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.
