A few key things to note:

- There are more Saturday night enduros for all classes, beginning with a Grand Enduro the second week of the season. Pay close attention to which Saturday nights your division is running.

- Double Points for Super Pro Trucks...

- Late Models DO have a limited schedule.

- The number of Legends races has been increased from 8 to 12, with 8 Saturday night races and 4 Sunday races.

Feel free to add any other comments...I was just noting things that jumped out at me at first glance. I literally just copied and pasted it and glanced at it after the fact so that I could have it up as quickly as possible.

Where are the SK's??

SKs??? Sitting in garages and the only place they will race in 09' will be off Long Island! Don't look for them to have any competitive races at Riverhead Raceway in 2009. How do you think it would effect the modified class we have now? The cost to run a compettive SK will cost a ton of money because someone will always out pay the other guy to get a better motor and thoses don't come cheap. Then look at the pay out, our modified guys aren't happy with the payout, if you pay a SK division less, don't you think with numbers down that our modified guys would then have to take a cut in payout? gasp for air! I would love to see both a modified and SK division run with success but not sure it could at point and time without anyone being happy! Barbara and Jim sit on the board of Nascar, modifieds are the corwn jewel to this track and they take pride in fact that modifieds are the oldest running division in Nascar. Who do they cater to first? Just some questions you got ask yourself!

Curious if for those double point truck races are going to be regular handicapping and 20 laps in which it looks like it to be on the schedule. Hopefully we can get those 3 races to be time trial races and possibly 30 laps.

I heard a rumor that they were thinking about getting rid of double point races now the trucks have them? I personally think they should keep the extra distance races w/ time trials but keep it single points. Those races can really mess up your whole season...

Dodge99 you shouldnt care much about the riverhead schedule since your enjoying "out of state" racing....if i remember correctly you were bashing riverhead quite a few times and even said you were glad to have moved on....so whats the issue hot shot? No sk's :( why not?? its cheaper and you would get more car count off the island if the rules where the same as tomphson.Throw in a couple big dolla races and U will fill the feild and have a good race maby it wont be single file for 35 laps

haha ok BIG THUNDER, obviously you dont remember anything correctly. i never bashed Riverhead Raceway. And if anyone personally knows this HOT SHOT knows that i love racing Riverhead. i love the racetrack itself. The way its ran and officiated needs to be revised but other then that i enjoy racing Riverhead. And you are right about one thing, i AM enjoying racing out of state! Either way SKs at the head or not, you can bet your a$$ ill be racing somewhere!
