IOFS GETS DIRTY IN 2009

Indianapolis, IN - November 19, 2008 - International Outlaw Figure 8 Series (IOFS) officials announced today that the series plans to visit Montpelier Motor Speedway in 2009.

The newly formed Outlaw Figure 8 series will be competing at the scenic Central Indiana 1/4 mile, slightly banked dirt oval three times in 2009. With this announcement the IOFS will now be competing on dirt as well as asphalt in 2009. If a driver is to become the inaugural IOFS champion they must prove to be extremely versatile.

"Montpelier Motor Speedway promoter, Tim Tygart, was looking for something radically different and I think we will fit his needs" IOFS series director Charlie Hargraves explains. "Although there isn't a Figure 8 course at the track yet one will be constructed in time for our 2009 visits. The way the track is to be constructed it should make for an incredible track. The track is going to be very wide with multiple grooves and I think very forgiving to some of our dirt beginners" stated Hargraves.

Although dirt will be a new experience to many of the IOFS regulars these type of cars have competed on dirt Figure 8 tracks before. Between 1992 - 1994 the now defunct General Tire Figure 8 Challenge Series competed at a hand full of dirt venues in KY, IN, and TN. The cars adapted very well and made for great racing. But it hasn't been attempted since the last General Tire dirt race at Putnamville, IN on July 6, 1994 in an event won by Rick Fenwick.

Once the race dates for the three Montpelier events are confirmed they will be posted on www.figure8news.com and on the soon to be launched official IOFS website.

IOFS managing partner David Sink expressed his excitement with the announcement today." I really think this is what Outlaw Figure 8 racing needs to boost interest and attract new fans. I can’t wait to see our guys on the dirt". Sink also updated the progress of the 2009 IOFS schedule to date."There is going to be another huge announcement regarding our schedule and 2009 events in the next week or so as things are really starting to take shape and we should be able to release our full 2009 schedule with confirmed dates very shortly”.

IOFS RETURNS TO THE HIGH BANKS

Indianapolis, IN - November 26, 2008 - Officials from the International Outlaw Figure 8 Series (IOFS) today announced the addition of Anderson Speedway to the soon to be released 2009 schedule.

The newly organized Outlaw Figure 8 travelling series will be competing at the high - banked 1/4 mile venue on three occasions in 2009. With this announcement the schedule now stands at six races with an equal mixture of both dirt and asphalt.

Series director, Charlie Hargraves, explained the reason for additional races at Anderson in 2009. " The Outlaws ran up at Anderson two times last year and drew really good crowds and both were very entertaining events. But the last one was spectacular and had the fans on their feet. There was a four car battle for the lead coming down for the checkered" Hargraves explains. " People have told me that was one of the best Figure 8 races they had ever saw. With all the excitement and fan interest Anderson promoter, Rick Dawson, wanted us there three time this year so it should be exciting to return to the banks."

This will mark the first time since 1996 that more than two Outlaw Figure 8 events have been held at Anderson Speedway in the same year. Outlaw Figure 8 racing at Anderson Speedway dates back to 1980 when the speedway first introduced the now defunct Red, White, and Blue Open Competition series.

Less than a week ago the series announced plans to compete at the Montpelier, IN Speedway three times in 2009. Although the actual dates of each of these events has yet to be determined series officials are confident the entire schedule with dates will be released in the coming weeks. To date the series is negotiating with several speedways for additional dates that will be made public once they become finalized.

" We hope to have the schedule finalized by the Indy Circle Track Expo so we can start handing out our 2009 pocket schedules. That is one thing that you just never know until the things get rolling, if everyone stands by their word we are looking at around 15 regulars, and then a few locals from each track running also. I would say 15-20 at each race. Drivers from IN, KY, MI, OH, FL, CA, and so on have all express interest. I think we will be fine, our goal is to hold a big race out there, like the good ole' days, the East Coast World Finals, but we will have to wait see how things go, only time will tell.
