I received this sad news from Rev. Don this morning. RIP Rick.

It is with a heavy heart that I send this, Rev. Rick Satkowski, RWJM Chaplain at Stafford Motor Speedway and Thompson International Speedway went home to be with the Lord on Saturday Afternoon. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Cards can be sent to Lucy Satkowski and Family, 192 Brimfield Road, Holland, MA 01521.

Arrangements are being confirmed, as of now the calling hours are 4-7 pm at Belanger Funeral Home in Southbridge, MA and the Funeral will be Wednesday, 11:00 at Holland Congregational Church in Holland, MA.

Richard T. Satkowski
SATKOWSKI, Richard T. Richard T. Satkowski, 60, of Holland, MA, died Saturday, (November 22, 2008) at home. He leaves his wife of 33 years, Lucie (St. Laurent) Satkowski; a son Phillip Satkowski of Holland; two daughters, Laura and Krysta Satkowski of Holland; a sister Lynn Pariseau of Westfield; his father Ted Satkowski of Stafford Springs; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was born and raised in Stafford Springs, the son of the late Lorraine C. (Goryl) Satkowski. Rick graduated from Monson Academy in 1966, and earned his Master of Arts degree in History from the University of New Hampshire. He later earned his Masters in Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. A bold proclaimer of God's Word, Rick was a dedicated pastor for over 23 years; first at Christ Baptist Church in Worcester, and later at Emmanuel Baptist Church in West Springfield. He was also involved in Racing for Jesus Ministry, a pursuit which combined two of his greatest passions. In addition to pastoring, Rick worked in education, insurance, and most recently, social services. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, in the Holland Congregational Church, 11 Sturbridge Rd., Holland, MA. Burial will follow in the Holland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4-8 p.m., TODAY, November 25, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.
