OK, the poll is closed, and the results were actually pretty close. Posting drivers and pictures for each number won by a narrow margin over "where are they now?" and leaving it as it has been. Combined, these three accounted for more than 80% of the 49 votes cast. In order to keep the countdown open to everyone, I am proposing a "combination" of the ideas. I would love to see people post pictures, and invite anyone who has some to do so wherever possible. On the same note, if you know of the current whereabouts of any inactive drivers for a particular number, please, share! However, if all you have is a name to go with a car number, feel free to do as you have done in the past and list it.

Thanks to some info from Bob Finan, I'm going to actually kick the countdown off with #100 and above...
#100 - Richie Donovan, Islip Modified, 1970s.
#100 - Bob Slavik, Islip Figure Eight, 1970s. (Nephew of the late Carl "Whitey" Voelker)

#107 - Joe Biondolillo Sr., Islip Figure Eight, 1970s.
#155 - in the Kenny Kerrivan back-up Figure Eight machine in the 70's at Islip the late Richie Thorbin.

Got It! Here's the car! Richie Gomes drove it for Dave Horne, after Kempster.
They later renumbered it X27. It eventually became the first 9A, driven by Bobby Holmberg.
Originally it was a Lenny Boehler car driven by Bugsy Stevens.
Thanks to Marty Himes for the photo.

....and here's your #9A, with Bob Holmberg at the wheel. (Again from the Bob Finan collection)
..also, the #X27, from the Kirby Champion collection
...very busy car...

Nice job, Walt! That picture is from 1971. In 1970 the car had gold numbers.
Thanks to Bob Finan for the pictures, he was a big Bobby Holmberg fan.
