Ted Christopher took down the win in the 40-lap feature for the TQs at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City tonight. He fended off two-time winner of the Gambler's Classic, Joey Payne, to take the victory. Much more news to come this week on the front page.

I enjoyed my first ever racing trip to Atlantic City. Even the cold weather didn't seem that bad.

1. Great to see a modified guy, TC, take down the win. Enjoyed watching Santos and Erick Rudolph. I'm still not sure why he got penalized on a restart.

2. Got to see Matt and Tony Hirschaman at the convention Center. With the release of the Mahoning schedule, I'm hoping to see Matt race at the five 100 lap races there this season. Or will it be the 3 race series at Mountain. There are some conflicting dates I think Which will it be Matt?

3. Ran into Eddie Brunnhoelzl too. Where will the 8x be racing this season? Riverhead or a somewhat shortened Mountain schedule?

4..The racing at Boardwalk Hall always had you sitting on the edge of your seat. From my seat was very hard to see the backstretch. The caution flag was flying all night long. And the cars were flipping all night long. But still, a wild , fun eveing of entertainment.

5. I even won two dollars at the casinos. Who could ask for anything more?

The big question is, 'how much did you spend to win that $2'!!! LOL
I had to ask that. You see most 'gambler's economics' are I won, say, $200 but don't tell you they spent $800 to win it!!!!

I too was there at my first Classic..... They were penalized because of jumping the start. They were suppose to start in the box, but most were starting around the middle of 3 & 4. Too bad a lot of people got wrecked in the first wreck on lap 6. Would have been interesting to see what Tidaback and Cicconi would have done. Also nice recovery from that wreck for TC and especially Payne.

had a great time over the weekend. We went Friday and Stayed over saturday, coming home right after the race last night.

Friday nights feature was by far the best race I have seen in AC. The Battle between Pauch(who has always been my favorite local dirt driver), Cicconi, and Litchy(sp?) was classic.

Saturday, the most amazing thing was that TC was probably the least agressive driver out there. he ran very clean and once he got to the front, it was see ya. Would have been interesting if Cicconi hadn't been taken out in one of the wrecks.

We stayed at Trump Plaza Friday night. Booked the room on Thursday for $124 for the 3 of us, and we only had to walk 1 block in the cold, so that worked out great.

My buddies headed over to the Motorsports Show on Saturday where a bunch of peeps we're looking for me, but they would have had to be in the Trop Poker Room, as thats where I was for 6 hours on saturday. Even came back from $150 down at one point to end the session up $60.

Traffic after the race was crazy. took about 1/2 hour just to get out of the parking garage. We got back to my buddies in Hempstead at 2:45 am, and dropping my other friend off on the way home, I made it into my bed at 4am.

All in all, a great weekend, and what else is there to do when its 10 degrees outside.

A lot drivers were getting warned about jumping on the starts but Rudolph was the only one penilized for it and from my viewpoint he didn't jump any worse than anyone else.

I saw like 3 or 4 get penalized.... Rudolph and Santos are the only names I remember though.....
