when mounting a fuel cell for a grand car the rules say no lower then frame rails? is this the frame rails in the back trunk area? or the frame rails at there lowest point on the car? Thanks Dave

dave a coupel of my buddies run in the grands and their fuel cells are in the trunk area with roll bar tubing protecting it....hope that helps

dave the cell can not be lower than the frame rails in the trunk area.

Thanks thats what i thought just wanted to be sure! could of got it a couple inches lower lol.. Thanks again!

Dave, Be sure to have plenty of Bars surrounding the cell bro.. especially behind the cell. Uncle Petey took a full out shot to the trunk, and because of his roll bars in the trunk, there was no damage to the cell.. Thank god we fought for those bars in the trunk, or that would have been devastating!

All jokes aside though, bars around the cell is DEFINETLY a must. See yas soon.:wave:

Thanks guys! sounds like a good idea, if anybody can send pics my way of the cell area so i can get more of an understanding,ideas from,that would help me out alot..we are going to start the cage this weekend.. Thanks again ALL!

cage is in,cell is in with bars surround it everything is coming out great! alittle more sheetmetal work and then paint..
