Allen Van Ness has past away

If I am posting this it is not good news. The news is that SAFER “ Hall of Fame “ member Allen Van Ness has past on. Al is survived by his wife Geraldine, 3 children: Donna Van Ness, Laurie Scalia, Patricia Steen, Allen (A.J.) Van Ness grandchildren: John, Matthew, Christopher, Timothy, Frankie, Dylan, Kayla, & Brandon. Al was a longtime Crew Chief for Racin’ Bobby Mason, John ‘ Think Pink ‘ Burns, Bill ‘ The Dean ‘ Steen and his son A.J. His time was not just spent with them, he was there to help anyone that needed it. Al was someone special and will surely be missed by all.

Godspeed Pops. Allen not only was a great man with the wrench.He mad a mean meatball too. I will also never forget watching the Yankees win the world series with you guys in your living room eating Pops amazing pot roast. Way too many memories to list of a true Long Island racing legend.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Some of the best times I can remember were when you were just a tyke, watching Georgia Championship Wrestling on TBS in your living room on Sunday afternoons in the off season. I always liked workin' with your pop. May he rest in peace.
