There was a driver of street stock # 54 who raced at Freeport And Riverhead . He was killed on his way home from Riverhead on the side of the road trying to change a flat. His name escapes me . ? I know he lived in Valley Stream and was an extremely nice guy.

Was it Jeff Ing? He is listed with that # in Freeport Speedway Scene mags from 76-77.

Kim"Wingfoot" Moore #54 Blunderbust

When Chris acquired Kim Moore's car in 1995, it had some interesting paint... Kim had his daughter - who really was a little tot at the time - leave paint footprints all over the car. Very cute (and very time-consuming to remove). :lol:

Last I heard from Kim, he was living upstate, but that is going back more than five years. Has anyone heard from him more recently?

Jeff, your right. Troy was a really nice guy who's life was cut way to short by a drunk driver. I helped out Troy at Freeport and Riverhead, but my old mind just could'nt remember his name. Thanks

He was a regular at Danbury Racearena, but he raced at least once at Islip, that I can remember, in the #54 House of Speed Modified and his name was Billy Layda.
